NATIONAL-LEVEL PARTICIPATION OF THREE EXCEPTIONAL SKATERS

Salt Lake City, UT – July 5, 2023 – The Utah Figure Skating Club is thrilled to announce that three
remarkable skaters from our club, Brooklynn Allen Christensen, Marissa Crawford, and Elidi Lawson,
will be showcasing their talents in national-level figure skating competitions this month.

Brooklynn Allen Christensen and Marissa Crawford will represent our club at the US Figure Skating
Excel Nationals from July 13-16, 2023, at the Austin Figure Skating Club in Austin, Texas. This
esteemed competition brings together the most promising and accomplished figure skaters nationwide in
the Excel Series. We are particularly excited to highlight that Brooklynn is currently ranked third in the
nation in her category, and Marissa holds an impressive 14th national ranking.

In addition, Elidi Lawson is set to dazzle the audience at the US Figure Skating 2023 National Showcase
Competition from July 31 to August 6, 2023, hosted by The Skating Club of Boston. The National
Showcase Competition is a unique event that blends artistic creativity and athleticism with figure skating.
It is an incredible opportunity for skaters to express themselves while competing at a high level.

We take immense pride in the dedication and hard work demonstrated by Brooklynn, Marissa, and Elidi.
It is a monumental achievement to compete at the national level, and even more impressive that this is the
first time for all three of them.

Notably, Elidi Lawson’s achievement is exceptionally commendable, as she has reached this pinnacle in
just three years. Her dedication and rapid progress are a testament to her talent and commitment.

The Utah Figure Skating Club extends its wholehearted support and best wishes to Brooklynn, Marissa,
and Elidi. As they take the ice, they will represent themselves and the legacy and pride of our club and the
state of Utah.

We encourage all members of the Utah Figure Skating Club, as well as the wider community, to join us in
